Bringing Hair Back to Life: A Case Study
My client Amanda came into the salon with a blown open blonde ombre that was clearly over-processed and broken from flat ironing. She wanted to go darker and get her hair back to optimum health and begin growing out. In about 7 months her hair has drastically changed. Thanks to amazing products and regular trims and glazes, you can’t tell that she ever looked like the before picture. We love bringing hair back to life!
Here is the list of products she is using, all sold here at Salon Cartier.
Famesi Color Lover Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner: This shampoo and conditioner help hold color 95% better than any other. It’s made with Quinoa and is sulfate-free, paraben-free, sodium chloride-free, and even gluten-free. It is gentle on the hair and adds great moisture without weighing the hair down.
7 Seconds by Unite: a brilliant leave-in conditioner. It gives the hair extra moisture and is a thermal protectant as well as a UV protectant.
Framesi Corrective Moisture Fluid: gives the hair extra moisture and aids in the reconstruction process of damaged hair.
Neuma styling products: Blow Dry Lotion, and Styling Gelee. Neuma is our organic line and is absolutely amazing. The products are lightweight but still add moisture and hold for styling.
At her appointments, we keep up on trims. I know everyone thinks that it’s counterproductive to keep trimming while growing out but if those split ends aren’t cut, they will continue to split up the hair shaft.
Another saving grace is a glaze. We glaze at every appointment. A glaze is a semi-permanent (clear or we can add color) that helps close down the cuticle of the hair, hold color in, and adds tons of shine!
Fixing damaged hair is a process. There is no magical way to do it overnight. We must be persistent and use the proper products in order to bring our hair back to life.
