How Do I Create Beachy Waves In My Hair?
Do you want to look like you just spent all day at the beach (or that your hair did at least)?
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to obtain that ultimate surfer girl look
1. Shampoo and condition hair, then towel dry and comb through with a leave-in conditioner that includes a thermal protector. I recommend 7 seconds by Unite.
2. Spray a sea salt based texturizer from roots to ends on damp hair. I’m OBSESSED with Beach Day by Unite.
3. Scrunch hair with your hands starting at your roots and working your way down, physically pushing up the roots to ensure volume.
4. Now, you can either let your hair air dry for a softer look. Or, for ultimate waves and impact, use a blow dryer set on warm/low while still scrunching your hair. Do this until hair is 75% dry.
5. Let hair continue to air dry. If it still doesn’t have enough texture- feel free to spray more Beach Day until desired results are achieved.
**IF you’d like a slightly more polished look, wrap 1-2inch vertical sections of hair around a 1-1/2inch barrel curling iron (depending on length of hair). Tousle hair with your fingers to break up curls.
