If you have never heard of Ombre it’s the latest new highlighting technique created to give your hair a naturally sun kissed look.

From Victoria Secret models to the girl next door this technique is very versatile for anybody.

A huge reason people like Ombre is because is easy to manage and very stylish.

However, there are a couple rules to this technique if you want to achieve a sun kissed beauty and not a beauty school touch-up gone wrong.

DO’S

Make sure that before doing this style you do get a haircut. A haircut can play a huge role in the placement of the color and making sure it accentuates all the right places around your face.
Choosing the right colors to your skin tone. Example of transitioning colors Brunettes would want to do a rich espresso to a light amber, Blondes buttery to vanilla, and Redheads auburn to copper.
Letting a professional do their magic. Ombre is not necessarily a way you apply the color, but finding the placement and knowing where the transitioning of colors should began. By doing it at home it’s really hard to achieve where colors should be, sometimes making it look like you have just tie-dyed your hair.

Think natural not eye popping. No body wants to walk around with their hair looking like it has straight line of color that clearly is not suppose to be there. Instead think of a beachy goddess from the way the highlights seem to just appear and lighten up on the ends.
Not choosing too opposites of colors it can really become too harsh when you start messing with really dark roots to bright blonde it just doesn’t seem to be very flattering
